How does Yoobee deliver online learning? 

We deliver our learning on a system that's purpose-built for the modern student.

Your learning is asynchronous, which means it’s ready to go when you are — students can access course materials, complete activities, and engage in learning at their own pace. You can balance study with your life, giving you the true freedom of flexible online study.

You can easily access your learning material from your phone while you’re out and about.

Will I still learn practical skills? 

Yes, a lot! You’ll develop practical skills with the software(s) and the resources used in your programme.

What are the hours like?

You decide! That also depends on whether you’re studying part-time or full-time. Part-time students will need to commit to an average of 15-hours a week, whereas full-time students will commit to an average of 30-35 hours a week. Some weeks you may allocate more and some less, and that is okay.

Regardless of part-time or full-time study, you have the control to set your own schedule that suits your lifestyle and commitments.

Do I have to study each course in its order?

Yes. It’s important that you complete your programme in the order it’s been laid out. We carefully designed the sequence of your learning so that it builds with each course, and each part is critical to understanding the next.

Are there due dates? 

We like to mirror in-person learning as much as possible, so you will have due dates and deadlines. Your tutor will provide your due dates at the start of your programme. They will monitor your activities and assessments and provide support whenever you need it.

Do I need to be logged on to study at specific times?

You won’t normally have to be online at a specific time. Your course material is available to you as your programme commences, and you can work through it in the hours that suit you.

There will be live sessions scheduled regularly. These are an opportunity for students to sign in at the same time as their tutors. It gives you the chance to ask any questions relating to your course material and assessments in real time and hear other student’s questions and thoughts. We understand that students won’t always be able to make these sessions, so they are recorded and available to view later.

Will I be studying on my own?

No way, you’re part of the Yoobee Tribe now! Even though you’re studying online, you’ll be joining lots of other like-minded students who prefer online learning.

There are many different ways to connect with people in the Online Campus: forums, messaging, live sessions, 1:1 meetings. We want you to engage with every opportunity to connect and feel included.

How do I get help? 

Your tutors are your subject matter experts and are dedicated to supporting you through your journey. You can reach out to your tutor for help, or arrange a 1:1 meeting with them. Our team is always there to support you when you need it.

How do I stay on track with my study?

If you’re studying with us and need support with motivation, time management, assessments, or technical issues, you can contact our Learning Support Team.

Yoobee Online also has a chat functionality where you can communicate with other students in your programme and ask each other questions. Your programme will have forums so you can post questions and get feedback of your work.

What will be in my Welcome Pack?

You will receive a Welcome Pack PDF prior to your programme’s start date. It is very important you read over this thoroughly.

Your Welcome Pack contains information on resources you’ll need for your programme, how to log into our online learning platform, information on how to download software and apps required for your learning, Frequently Asked Questions and information on how our Learning Management System works.

Is an online qualification a real qualification?

Online students graduate with the exact same qualification as a student at Yoobee Colleges on-campus.

Not only does your graduation certificate look exactly the same, your course work will cover all the same topics – we just adapt the information and assessment tasks so that they are perfectly suited to online learning.

Will I receive the same qualification as an on-campus student?

When you graduate from our programmes, you will receive the same accredited qualification as a Yoobee Colleges on-campus student.

Our courses and learning outcomes are the same as on-campus but we adapt the material and its delivery to enable you to enjoy the most engaging online environment.

What equipment do I need?

Every programme is different and so is the software and tool requirements for each one. Check the programme page on this website for specific equipment information. Our Student Recruitment Advisors can provide you with more details if you need.
