Light & Dark is back! Over the last 7 years, budding artists across Aotearoa have entered into Yoobee's Light & Dark character design competition. Light & Dark focuses on the art of emotion. Contestants create a character that embodies two contrasting emotions; one light emotion, and one dark emotion.

Raised in an environment that encompasses his stories and histories, Turanga Mahutonga of Yoobee College Rotorua scored himself a fully paid scholarship by bringing these stories to life through the art of animation.

Yoobee tutor Philip Lord has carved out an international career most creatives only dream of, and he’s picked up a bunch of accolades along the way, including Silver and Bronze Pencils at the prestigious One Show awards.

An epiphany while living in the French ski town of Chamonix inspired Leah Sullivan to launch her own branding and design business. Now the self-confessed travel addict roams the globe creating incredible work for astonishing clients through her business Leah Sylvia Creative.

"I’ve always encompassed a strong passion for streetwear design, so naturally I based my studio project around this. The variety of work includes brand logo, apparel and clothing design, POS tags, stickers, photography, posters, a lookbook, web design, video editing and dieline for a jewellery box."
