Creative Pathfinder Scholarship

Scholarship Overview 

The Creative Pathfinder Scholarship at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation is designed to support the next generation of creative thinkers and innovators who are passionate about shaping the future of Aotearoa New Zealand's creative industries. This scholarship offers full coverage of tuition fees for the first year of study in any of Yoobee’s Bachelor’s programmes. It is available to students who demonstrate a strong passion for their chosen field and have the potential to make a significant impact in the creative sector. 

Rationale 

At Yoobee Colleges, we are committed to nurturing creativity, innovation, and the growth of Aotearoa’s creative industries. Through the Creative Pathfinder Scholarship, we aim to reduce financial barriers for aspiring students, allowing them to focus on developing their skills, building a solid academic foundation, and realizing their creative potential. By supporting students in fields crucial to Aotearoa’s creative growth, we hope to foster a diverse range of fresh ideas and perspectives. 

Programmes Covered 

Recipients of this scholarship will receive full tuition fee coverage for Year 1 of study in one of the following programmes: 

• Bachelor of Animation 

• Bachelor of Software Engineering 

• Bachelor of Marketing and Creativity 

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for the Creative Pathfinder Scholarship, applicants must: 

• Be a citizen of Aotearoa New Zealand or hold a New Zealand residence class visa. 

• Meet the academic entry requirements for Year 1 of your chosen bachelor’s programme (please refer to the entry requirements on the course pages). 

• Demonstrate English language proficiency (if your first language is not English), with an IELTS score of 6.0 or above and no band lower than 5.5. 

How do I apply? 

To apply for the scholarship, applicants must: 

• Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria listed above 

• Complete the online application form for Year 1 of your chosen bachelor's qualification.  

• Submit all required documentation to meet academic entry requirements. 

• Submit a letter that describes your reasons for applying, covering the following points: 

  • Specific interest in the programme with demonstrated examples. 

  • Future aspirations in your chosen field of Animation, Technology or Marketing 

  • How receiving the scholarship will help remove financial barriers and allow you to achieve your goals.

Academic Expectations The scholarship recipient is expected to meet the following academic requirements: 

• Pass all courses with a minimum grade of C or higher. 

• Meet all programme attendance requirements 

• Complete the programme within the standard duration for full-time students. 

Additional Information 

• This scholarship covers tuition fees and the student service levy for Year 1. 

• Recipients are responsible for any course-related costs associated with their programme. For more information, refer to individual course pages or contact us directly. 

• If this is your first time studying at the tertiary level, you may also be eligible for TEC's Final Year Fees Free. Check your eligibility at Fees Free. 

• Limited number of scholarships available to eligible applicants 

• The scholarship cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another person.
