Yoobee College of Creative Innovation is offering a number of scholarships for our Certificate in Information Technology, Level 5 program. This initiative contributes to the development of a skilled workforce in Aotearoa New Zealand, addressing the growing demand for IT professionals. By investing in the education of students who will acquire skills relevant to current and emerging IT practices, the programme helps meet the country's future IT needs, fostering innovation and economic growth.

This 16 week (full time)/ 32 week (part time) online programme not only fills the talent gap but also provides a clear pathway to further higher education study, providing essential skills directly applicable to the tech workforce and IT landscape. 

The Scholarships offer students 100% of their tuition fees payment for the Certificate in Information Technology, Level 5. 

Offering zero fees study for this programme aligns with the aim of providing opportunities for further IT-related study and employment in entry-level IT and client support roles. By removing financial barriers, more students, including those from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds, can access and benefit from the programme.  

Selection Criteria

To be eligible to apply you must:

• Be a citizen of Aotearoa New Zealand or a holder of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visa.

• If an applicant's first language is not English, they must demonstrate English language proficiency at the level of IELTS 5.5 with no band lower than 5.0.

And have one of the following:

• Have NCEA credits at Level 2 or 3, with appropriate credits in mathematics and digital technologies subjects, or

• New Zealand Certificate in Computing (Intermediate User)(Level 3) or,  

• New Zealand Certificate in Computing (Advanced User) (Level 4) or,  

• New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology Essentials (Level 4) or   

• Demonstrated equivalent skills gained through study, work and/or life experience.

The scholarship recipient is expected to meet online engagement requirements, pass all courses with a minimum grade C or higher and complete the course in the standard 16 week duration for full time students and 32 week duration for part time students of the programme.
