Oscar Featherstone, a 2011 graduate of Yoobee Colleges South Seas has been globally recognised for his editing work on the CNN investigative journalism story, Putin’s Private Army, winning a News & Documentary Emmy Award for his efforts.
Jazz studied at our South Seas campus and directed the multiaward winning documentary Jessica’s Tree, about the impact of a friend’s suicide. She has also co-founded the charity Voices of Hope, is the subject of a feature length documentary, The Girl on the Bridge and has written a book.
Raised in an environment that encompasses his stories and histories, Turanga Mahutonga of Yoobee College Rotorua scored himself a fully paid scholarship by bringing these stories to life through the art of animation.

And now he has found his ultimate calling, using his design expertise to benefit the lives of people all over the world. As a user interface designer for Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, Jonathan Ellis creates medical devices used in the treatment of over 12 million patients each year. It’s work that he finds exciting, inspiring, and incredibly rewarding.
An epiphany while living in the French ski town of Chamonix inspired Leah Sullivan to launch her own branding and design business. Now the self-confessed travel addict roams the globe creating incredible work for astonishing clients through her business Leah Sylvia Creative.
"I’ve always encompassed a strong passion for streetwear design, so naturally I based my studio project around this. The variety of work includes brand logo, apparel and clothing design, POS tags, stickers, photography, posters, a lookbook, web design, video editing and dieline for a jewellery box."
While most Aucklanders are stuck in traffic commuting to and from the office, you’ll find Sarah Goodhue helicoptering in and out of the Southern Alps, zipping through the narrow streets of Hong Kong, or working from the palm-fringed shores of a tropical Fijian island. Right now in fact she’s navigating the cultural wonderlands of Thailand and Vietnam, as the lead costume dresser for a post-Vietnam war film directed by Spike Lee. Days are long (sometimes 20 hours), and the pressure can be intense, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
