"I am an award-winning, 25-year veteran of the film, television, advertising and children’s publishing industries. In addition, I lecture on the craft of animation, academic studies and professional practice at Cert. Dip. and BA + (hons) levels at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation, and have double Masters degrees in Media Arts and Creative Writing (Screenplay). As a film and television animation industry veteran, published children’s writer, illustrator, and musician, I direct, design, develop, produce and create original content. My focus remains on storytelling, which has been my passion since I began my professional creative journey.
Raymonds' books have been published internationally - and he is a New York Times best seller's list illustrator. He is the writer/director and creator of TVNZ's children's series 'Puzzle Inc', and is currently working as a storyboard/animatic artist on the international award winning series 'Kiri and Lou'.
Evan Woodruffe is our special guest judge from Gordon Harris. Evan is the Specialist Marketing Manager for Gordon Harris, but is also a highly experienced artist. Based in Tāmaki Makarau Auckland, he exhibits throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with work in significant collections in Singapore, Australia, China, the USA and New Zealand. Writer Lucinda Bennet referred to his works as Wet Maps, 'living, breathing ecosystems, and visualisations of a new kind of urbanism'.
Evan is a long-standing supporter of the visual arts - not only as an artist - but as a collector, sponsor, teacher, and advocator. He has run Akepiro Street Studios, home to over a dozen artists, since 2008. He is a regular contributor to community events such as Artweek Auckland.
We are proud to have Evan representing Gordon Harris and joining our judging panel!
