This 32 week diploma will give you the ability to become a server administration/ IT help desk support tech by furthering your existing IT management and troubleshooting skills with this concise and practical diploma. With a heavy focus on Microsoft, you'll be trained by our expert and supportive tutors so you're ready to get into the industry. Graduates of this programme are able to sit Microsoft exams and have the potential to be at an IT Level 2 competence.
You'll learn key technologies that an administrator is most likely to encounter and how to use this in the work environment and how to practically manage a multi-site deployment.
We've designed our ICT programmes to develop the thinking required for an ICT environment, as well as teaching you real skills instead of just theory. You'll have many opportunities to work on team projects in simulated environments that are created and assigned to you by your tutor. This project work will inevitably develop your ability to collaborate in teams and manage projects within your scope, setting you up for confidence and agility in the ICT arena.
Core Server Infrastructure
In this module a student will learn how to implement windows server infrastructure including virtualizations using Hyper-V, deployment and management tools like WDS (Windows Deployment Services) and WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) as well as storage solutions ranging from local till enterprise level storage and more.
Server Networking and Administration
In this module a student will learn how to manage Windows servers and services to provide network functionality using advanced network management tools like IPAM as well as network virtualization solutions and also well as managing Active directory objects with tools like ADAC (Active Directory Administration Centre), Group Policy and more.
Distributed Administration and Deployment
In this Module students will learn how to manage services in a multisite scenario using management tools like SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager) as well as configuring and managing mail servers using Microsoft Exchange Server.
Distributed Infrastructure and Project Management
In this Module students will learn about and develop project management skills as well as managing Security by using advanced level server tools like DAC (Dynamic Access Control) and more

Certificate in Information Technology and Client Support or equivalent, or bachelor-level degree or equivalent, or industry experience.
International students need to be at least 18 years old.
If your first language is not English, you must demonstrate English language proficiency at the level of IELTS 6.0.
Once you've completed this diploma, you can seek entry or intermediate level IT employment (depending on your previous work experience) or further develop your skills with the Bachelor of Software Engineering - Creative.
