This is where the art of emotion comes in.
The Diploma in Specialised Animation is all about taking those core foundation skills learnt in the first year and learning more specialised techniques. We’ll teach you how to inject emotion into your characters to bring them to life, plus you’ll hone your world-building, conceptualising and narrative design skills.
We’ll up the ante on your studio projects, giving you exciting opportunities to utilise your knowledge in a practical way. By now you’ll have the prowess to generate professional animation projects using the industry-standard production pipeline. You’ll be using drawing principles to construct models, and integrating animation with live action footage.
Advanced Principles of Animation
You’ll learn to analyse and break down established visual concepts and aesthetics in order to use and reconstruct them with insightful principles and knowledge.
Post-production
Explore the art of post-production sequences and investigation using various technologies, techniques and approaches.
Advanced Animation Studio 1
Develop your knowledge of animation asset production and animation skills to be implemented in the construction of more complex technical and aesthetic assets.
Visual Storytelling
Explore the storytelling contribution to animation and a wider scope of media, including audience engagement.
Portfolio and Career Preparation
Get prepared for employment in animation and related industries, including developing a commercially-aware, effective portfolio.
Advanced Animation Studio 2
Develop advanced asset creation and animation knowledge that can be taken into the industry.
